Lovely Story and Beautiful illustrations

Bought this book when it was first published and my not yet 2 year old absolutely loves the illustrations. He keeps pointing out the cat and naming all the different animals in the book. Although he is too young to fully understand the story, it is part of his bedtime favourites at the minute. Highly recommended.

FANTASTIC BOOK!!!

I'm thrilled about this fantastic book! I purchased it for my 6-year-old son, and he absolutely adores it. Although he's Spanish and learning English, we read it together, and I translated for him. He deeply connected with the story, feeling a kinship as an international kid. The illustrations are superb, making it a must-read – I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Great read for young child

A Beautiful Story

A lovely book with a powerful and important message. I bought it as a Christmas present for my granddaughter and look forward to reading it together. Beautiful illustrations and perfectly pitched for children of all ages.

A gem for International kids

I find this book utterly charming, both the text and the illustrations. It is also educative and real, and will speak to "international kids", their friends and families, all over the world. It encourages younger children to explore new cultures in an inquisitive and positive way, and helps them realise that they are not alone: There are lots of international kids, just like them! It may be tricky at times, but learning the language, trying new food and even learning new dances, is fun! Count how many times Chrissie's cat, Billy-Martin, sneaks into the pictures! He's a great photobomber! 😆 I can't stop reading this, and I'm a grown-up!
